She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Publisher’s Marketing Association, and Small Publishers Association of North America.
In addition to producing quality works for children, Dawn loves traveling, gourmet cooking, and spending time with her family. She lives in Chesapeake, Virginia, with the love of her life and husband of ten years, Scott Matheson, and their three feline children, Sassy, Spencer and TJ.
